CLdN has confirmed an order for 10 new load-on/load-off (LoLo) container vessels, with deliveries set to begin in January 2027. This move marks CLdN's strategic expansion into the LoLo segment, establishing its own dedicated container carrier fleet. Each new vessel will have a cargo capacity of 1,100 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU), enhancing CLdN's existing fleet of over 30 roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) vessels. The new ships are designed with fuel efficiency in mind and will feature an open-top structure to reduce port handling times, further optimizing operations.

The vessels will be built by HD Hyundai Mipo, based in Ulsan, South Korea. This long-standing shipbuilding partner of CLdN is currently working on two additional G9e RoRo vessels for the company, with a lane meter capacity of 8,000. This large-scale order signifies a significant step for CLdN in diversifying its services, while also maintaining its focus on sustainability and operational efficiency through innovative ship designs and strategic industry partnerships.
