We offer 24/7 service and engineering: our shipyard is equipped with a 135 m long floating dock with over 7,000t lifting capacity, various pier and mobile cranes with lift capacities of up to 8t, a floating crane with up to 100t lift capacity, around 400m quay and 3,000m2 hall. All the trades required for the building of new ships and repair are available on-site in the yard. The past decades have seen us develop into a worldwide renowned shipyard for the building of new ships. With the building of sea-going tugs in particular, we have set global benchmarks. There are very few shipyards which can handle this performance class, and the Mützelfeldtwerft is one of the best in the world. Our reputation as a high-performance shipyard for the building of special purpose vessels is currently being reinforced by the building of sea-going and anchor handling tugboats. The tugboats enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for their high quality, high performance and reliability, whether it’s for long distance transport of open sea lighters and pontoons, the towing of drilling rigs or the recovery of damaged ships. You are planning a repair, a conversion, overhaul or the building of a new ship? We can offer the following ship repairs and services to our customers in-house or in partnership. We do various steel construction work which is necessary for ship repair and ship conversion on site. For you that means: short response times and cost effective services under one roof. The percentage of renewable energy is growing continuously and the German Bight is an ideal location for further offshore installations. Fast response times and short distances are economic advantages for future maintenance of installations. Even though not all questions about the future use and building of offshore windfarms have been clarified, the combination of location, available shipyard resources and know-how recommend the Mützelfeldtwerft as a future partner in this innovative sector.more
